Windows 7: sound recorder

Self-tutoring about Windows 7: the tutor brings up the on-board sound recorder.

Today I went to make an audio recording and thought I’d use the Windows 7 sound recorder, which I recall using years ago. Yet, when I keyed it in the Search/Run box, it didn’t appear.

I keyed, in Google, “Windows 7 sound recorder missing.” From the looks of it, I wasn’t the first: I clicked a link and discovered, in such a case, to key

c:\windows\system32\soundrecorder.exe

in the Run box. I did so, and the sound recorder appeared, and worked.
