Dioecious means that the male and female plants are separate; ie, that this tree might just have male reproductive parts, while another one nearby might have only female flowers.  It&#8217;s not a term often mentioned, probably since most common plants are apparently monoecious &#8211; they have both male and female reproductive organs on the same plant. <a href=\"http:\/\/fruitandnuteducation.ucdavis.edu\/generaltopics\/AnatomyPollination\/Flower_Anatomy\/\">Kiwifruit,<\/a> however, is another example of a dioecious plant.<\/p>\n<p>Jack of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracletutoring.ca\">Oracle Tutoring by Jack and Diane,<\/a> Campbell River, BC. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tutor shares another find from his exploration of trees.
