The Staples BD-6120G is a scientific calculator, but it’s got some neat features useful to buyers and sellers as well. In particular, it’s got some very handy percentage features.<\/p>\n
COMP mode is a good one to be in for these calculations. Just press the MODE key, then press = when COMP is selected.<\/p>\n
Example 1: Find the percent markup if an item is bought for $55, but then priced for sale at 67$. Key in 67 – 55 SHIFT =<\/span>, which should give 21.82% (rounded).<\/p>\n Example 2: Imagine you purchased an item for $128.57 and now want to mark it up by 15%. What will be the sticker price?
