The tutor covers a simple, yet powerful feature of the Texas Instruments TI-30xa.<\/h1>\n

Using the memory can save time in multi-step calculations. With the TI-30xa, here’s how:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Enter the number you want to store on the display. (It can also appear there as the result of a calculation.)<\/li>\n
  2. Press the STO key, then 1, 2, or 3. (The calculator has three separate memories.)<\/li>\n
  3. To retrieve the stored value, press RCL, then 1, 2, or 3, depending on which memory you stored it to.<\/li>\n
  4. Storing a value in a memory overwrites what was there previously.<\/li>\n
  5. To clear a memory, simply store the value 0 in it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When something is stored in a memory, M1, M2, or M3 will appear at top left of the display.<\/p>\n

    As a kid in high school, I used a TI scientific similar to the TI-30xa. Its memory was a feature I particularly appreciated.:)<\/p>\n
