Consider the following example:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solve the equation |x| = -2x + 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Solution:  We&#8217;ll use the Sharp el-520w equation solver.  First, we can rewrite the equation as<\/p>\n<p>(x<sup>2<\/sup>)<sup>0.5<\/sup> +2x -7 = 0<\/p>\n<p>Next, we enter the equation, pressing = <em>but not 0<\/em>.  Then, press MATH, then 0 (for SOLV).
