Today, I&#8217;ll give more specific coverage.<\/p>\n<p>The temperature rise a gas experiences (without change in entropy) due to pressure is given by the formula<\/p>\n<p>T<sub>2<\/sub> = T<sub>1<\/sub>(P<sub>2<\/sub>\/P<sub>1<\/sub>)<sup>[1-1\/&#947;]<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>where<\/p>\n<p>T<sub>1<\/sub>,T<sub>2<\/sub> are initial and final temperatures<\/p>\n<p>P<sub>1<\/sub>,P<sub>2<\/sub> are initial and final temperatures<\/p>\n<p>&#947; = C<sub>p<\/sub>\/C<sub>v<\/sub>, where<\/p>\n<p>C<sub>p<\/sub> = gas specific heat at constant pressure<\/p>\n<p>C<sub>v<\/sub> = gas specific heat at constant volume<\/p>\n<p>Typcially, &#947; might be around 1.4.
