The tutor defines the term <i>hypervisor<\/i>.<\/h1>\n<p>In my <a href=\"?p=29844\">Feb 15 post<\/a> I explain the idea of a virtual machine. The virtual machine exists atop a hypervisor.<\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#ffe9dd;background-color:#993599;padding:16px;font-size:130%;font-family:monospace;white-space:pre-wrap;\">\n<span style=\"font-size:130%\">hypervisor (noun):<\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>\na program that allows one or more virtual machines (VMs) to function from a single hardware entity.
