One night in ’86 or ’87, “Emotion in Motion” by Ric Ocasek from The Cars<\/em> came on.<\/p>\n I immediately recognized Ric’s voice, but knew The Cars<\/em> as a good-time band. “Emotion in Motion” sounded like The Cars’<\/em> voice and instruments, but not their style. Rather, it was more personal, more tender, than hits from The Cars<\/em> I knew.<\/p>\n “Emotion in Motion”‘s sound is rich and complex, like you’d expect from The Cars<\/em>.
