\nAs far as I can tell, the Liberals and Conservatives are dead even right now: 31% to 32%. NDP is at 19%.\n<\/p>\n
\nThere is another close split: Canadians’ preference, this time, for majority government vs minority: 43%(maj) vs 40%(min).\n<\/p>\n
\nFrom my point of view, the reason for the preference is simple: if you love the party you’re voting for, you want them to have a majority. If your vote is a compromise because your ideals aren’t totally represented by any single party, you want a minority government.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe Liberals won a majority in 2015.<\/p>\n
