No-one mentioned it, so I always wondered why. I&#8217;d lived on Prince Edward Island, which is around the same size, and not so far away. People always mention PEI but never Anticosti.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nPEI has around 150,000 people whereas Anticosti has around 230. Anticosti is famous for deer hunting. The Province of Quebec bought Anticosti in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>Anticosti is a geographic curiosity, to be sure. It has numerous streams and at least two named rivers. Apparently, moose have been introduced there.
