\nTopics I rarely hear of are the US deficit and debt, both of which seem to have increased since 2016.<\/p>\n
Believe it or not, Trump suggested in 2016 that he could clear the US debt in 8 years. Assuming he’s re-elected, he’ll need to get busy: since 2016, the US debt has grown from $19T to over $23T. The deficit for 2019, depending on the source, ran around $980B.<\/p>\n
