In my post from April 18<\/a> I mention an email stall on my smartphone and how I fixed it – that time.<\/p>\n \nI encountered another stall a few days back on the same phone. It was a simple, one-page image I wanted to send, which was likely around 400KB, so shouldn’t have been problematic. It wouldn’t send: Even after I’d restarted the phone, the email resided in the OutBox, apparently making its home there.<\/p>\n My wife came to the rescue, using her much newer phone to photograph the page I needed, then forward it. However, to meet expectations, I need my phone to take and send pictures; I can’t depend on workarounds.<\/p>\n My wife’s thinking-aloud suggestion: “Maybe you need a new phone.” (That’s another story for another post.) I’m not willing to give up on it just yet, so I looked up what to do.<\/p>\n It was mentioned, to clear the email cache. I clear the browser’s cache from time to time, but wasn’t aware the email cache was important. “Clearing an app’s cache sometimes fixes problems,” an article opined. Therefore, I cleared the email cache.
