\nThe Peace River, from its beginnings, is 1923 km long. It’s named the Peace as it leaves Williston Lake in northeastern BC; thence it flows east. In BC, Farrell Creek and Bear Flat are on it; in Alberta, the town of Peace River seems the first one along it.<\/p>\n
The Peace flows in a northeasterly direction, with its mouth at Lake Athabasca. Therefore, the Peace, by name, never reaches the ocean; rather, it feeds the Mackenzie River system. Water in the Peace is bound for the Arctic Ocean.<\/p>\n
