It’s motivated by experience on Canada’s Atlantic and Pacific coasts. I realize there is an Arctic one, too, and hope to post from that point of view, some day.<\/p>\n \nMy definition for the first day of spring, regardless where you are in Canada, is your first sunny day with double-digit positive temperature. Here, in 2022, that’s today: the current temperature is 11°C, the condition outside, sunny.<\/p>\n \nI hear a bird call I don’t recognize, as if to punctuate the occasion.
