\nOut of curiosity, I checked the (apparent) popularities of the various holidays. I’m not surprised to find Christmas first, but Thanksgiving, at second, does interest me. When you think about it, people potentially do spend a lot on fixings for Thanksgiving dinner. They would eat anyway, though, and I don’t think turkey is the most expensive protein. (I hope to follow up about that.)<\/p>\n
Valentine’s, at third, is intriguing: I’m impressed that people still put in the effort.<\/p>\n
Halloween is in 7th place, according to cnbc<\/a>.<\/p>\n It’s true that the cnbc article<\/a> measures holiday spending, which isn’t the same as engagement.
