Around then, new brands started appearing on the shelves. My father started experimenting with them. Some products didn’t seem to change depending on the brand, but others did.<\/p>\n
\nMy wife is a little more particular about brands than I am. Recently I discovered one reason why. I bought some chick peas of a different brand than what we usually buy, because they were a good deal. I didn’t notice they were low salt. (I still would’ve bought them anyway: one can always add salt.)<\/p>\n
\n“Oh no…these ones?” my wife lifted the can.<\/p>\n
“Yeah, what’s wrong?”<\/p>\n
“These are low-salt, low-flavour,” she scolded. She looked at nothing for a few seconds, obviously contemplating how clueless I am.<\/p>\n
