\nI ran across ExplainingComputers<\/a> probably six or seven years ago. I forget the topic of the video I watched that time, but I realized the channel to be a valuable resource.<\/p>\n \nToday, YouTube suggested the video The Future of Consumer SBCs: Has the Pi bubble burst?<\/a> by ExplainingComputers. I clicked it, and was drawn in. Besides much else covered therein, a particular point he makes is something I’ve noticed myself, but not everyone seems to mention: software bloat.<\/p>\n \nThe host demonstrates, for instance, that a 2012 device that worked fine back then won’t necessarily be able to run the current version of a program that it used before. Or, if it can, it may do so noticeably slower.
