Disestablishmentarianists want to disestablish the state church to achieve separation of church and state.<\/p>\n \nTherefore, antidisestablishmentarianism<\/em> says that the state church should be maintained, as has been the Church of England. In contrast, although it says “in God we trust” on American money, the United States seems not to have a state church.
