I can&#8217;t get it to respond &#8211; not from lack of trying. I&#8217;ve taken out the sim card and set the phone aside while I decide what to do. In the meantime, I&#8217;ve transplanted the sim into a different phone &#8211; an older one we had lying around.<\/p>\n<p>\nI don&#8217;t customize or keep stuff on a phone, so that&#8217;s easy. It&#8217;s a bit of a steeplechase, however, going through all the license agreements and other endless questions.<\/p>\n<p>\nWith the phone that&#8217;s crashed, I believe, although its screen looks dead, that it&#8217;s on: when I plug it into the PC, the PC acknowledges it. Therefore, I&#8217;m planning to let it die, which will finally force it to turn off. That phone&#8217;s battery lasts a long time, so that could take a week or two.
