\nThe cell phone I’ve been using the last few months is in a firmware crash. I can’t get it to respond – not from lack of trying. I’ve taken out the sim card and set the phone aside while I decide what to do. In the meantime, I’ve transplanted the sim into a different phone – an older one we had lying around.<\/p>\n
\nI don’t customize or keep stuff on a phone, so that’s easy. It’s a bit of a steeplechase, however, going through all the license agreements and other endless questions.<\/p>\n
\nWith the phone that’s crashed, I believe, although its screen looks dead, that it’s on: when I plug it into the PC, the PC acknowledges it. Therefore, I’m planning to let it die, which will finally force it to turn off. That phone’s battery lasts a long time, so that could take a week or two. After that, I’ll plug it in and see if it powers up.<\/p>\n
