\nA few months back, maybe in late September, my wife and I were in a popular discount store. There were a lot of good deals that day, including shoes. Not even planning to, I bought two pairs. One promised to be a useful, durable pair of black running shoes that could pass as work shoes. The other, much dressier, was questionable how it would stand up. However, the dressier pair was $30, so I decided to take them anyway.<\/p>\n
\nThe dressy pair looked even sharper in the days to follow, so I came to wear them often. They got hard use for about six weeks. Then, at the end of one day, my ankle bothered me. I realized it was probably because of the shoes.<\/p>\n
\nIn fact, those shoes have worn out, structurally. They still look good, but the food bed is no longer stable. Though very elegant, those shoes stood up to day-to-day, full-time duty, for about six weeks.<\/p>\n
\nAs special-occasion dress shoes, those shoes might last for ten years. They still look flashy. I bought them out of curiosity, and really, they didn’t let me down.<\/p>\n
