One idea I hold to, though, is that one should have a pretty good idea of the bill before reaching the till.<\/p>\n<p>\nMentally rounding the price of each item, then summing them, is likely the best practical method. It&#8217;s how I normally do it when I&#8217;m by myself. In such cases the order is usually less than 25 items.
