The tutor begins about them.<\/h2>\n<p>\nSimply put, an inverse takes (x,y) and makes it (y,x). If f(x) yields y, then f<sup>-1<\/sup>(y) yields x.<\/p>\n<p>\nTo get the inverse algebraically, one interchanges x with y. For instance, the inverse of y=3x is x=3y.
