\nRecently I had the privilege of spending a week in Memphis. It was wonderful; I didn’t want to leave. Now, I’ve been back for awhile, so have had time to process.<\/p>\n
\nMy wife and I typically ate out for supper only, so bought groceries for snacks, etc. We went to three distinct supermarkets. Naturally, we were observant of the prices.<\/p>\n
\nMaintaining awareness of the exchange rate USD to CAD, meat seemed cheaper in Memphis than here. It may also have been easier to find deals on produce. However, many other items were priced about the same in USD as one would pay up here in CAD. Some items were even more, in USD, than I’d expect to pay here in CAD.<\/p>\n
\nIt seems to me that, in Memphis, the price difference between a brand name and a discount brand might be greater than up here.
