(See my post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracletutoring.ca\/blog\/cholesterol-hdl-vs-ldl\/\">here<\/a>.) Therefore, one generally wants to reduce ldl cholesterol.<\/p>\n<p>\nIt&#8217;s known that saturated fat tends to elevate ldl cholesterol (hereon referred to as just ldl), but why? It turns out that within the liver are ldl sensors. When they detect too much ldl, they trigger its reduction. However, saturated fat tends to dull the sensitivity of the ldl receptors.
