\nI was happy to find this very helpful video by Ultimate Handyman<\/a> that delves into the issue of removing a rounded bolt. He mentions numerous methods.<\/p>\n The bolt I am trying to unfasten is in a place where, so far, a socket can’t fit, so I’ve just been using a wrench; hence part of the problem. However, the idea Ultimate Handyman mentioned that turned out to be helpful is to file the flats back onto the bolt if they get rounded off. Doing so, I was eventually able to get good grip on the bolt, once again. I ran out of time yesterday, so left at a stalemate: able to grip the bolt, but not yet remove it.
