After my first run, I had the water blisters to prove it.

Today seemed like another good day for a run, but with the water blisters not quite healed, I wasn’t sure. Yet, I had an idea:

I’ve accumulated numerous pairs of “runners” (aka running shoes) over the years. I buy them on sale, whether I need them or not. The pair I ran in a couple of days back are fine for walking, but aren’t really broken in. Moreover, they’re the firm, rubber-and-leather kind, rather than the foam-and-fabric kind. I wondered: would wearing a softer pair, the foam-and-fabric kind, be easier on the feet, perhaps keeping the blisters from popping? I decided to try.

I am happy to report that it worked: I still have the blisters, but they didn’t pop. In fact, I barely felt them during the run.

The situation speaks, perhaps, to the advantage of having dedicated runners just for running.

Jack of Oracle Tutoring by Jack and Diane, Campbell River, BC.

[180
3832,3725
post-50429","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-exercise-and-fitness","tag-blisters","tag-running
["GET
