The following is according to my understanding\/experience.<\/p>\n
I picked up some Rapid Grip, by Via-Chem, at a dollar store a while back. It’s meant to applicable for a lot of situations. Moreover, it’s meant to be water-proof once fully cured.<\/p>\n
\nI put Rapid Grip to a difficult test last week, re-gluing a glass shower door into an aluminum clip that holds it from the top.<\/p>\n
\nRapid Grip requires the surfaces be clean and dry, and it achieves full strength after a day. It should be used in a well-ventilated area. I turned the bathroom fan on, made the repair, then left the shower door leaning securely against the wall, fan still on, and closed the door.<\/p>\n
\nA day later I inspected the repair. It seemed, possibly, to have worked, so I put the door back on its rails.<\/p>\n
\nIt’s been five days now, and the repair seems to have held. It’s a tough task to ask of a glue, holding that shower door. Perhaps Rapid Grip has come through:)<\/p>\n
