After finishing my household chores, I lay back, resting. It was all I could do. What I had was a fever, though I didn&#8217;t then realize it.<\/p>\n<p>\nI had some dinner &#8211; not much, and not rich food. Four hours later, it felt like it was still sitting in my stomach, like I&#8217;d just eaten it. Coincidentally, someone felt my forehead: &#8220;You&#8217;ve got a fever,&#8221; they said. They took my temp: 101F, or 38C.<\/p>\n<p>\nBy morning, my fever was still active, but less: I felt much better. Moreover, the food was gone from my stomach.
