\nThe following is according to my understanding.<\/p>\n
\nWhile I’ve read that Ctrl+F5 is meant to cause a hard refresh on Edge, it doesn’t seem to work on some devices I use. By way of background, I mention about hard refresh back in my post from Nov 25, 2020.<\/a> It’s my understanding that a hard refresh is supposed to load a web page from its source rather than from the browser’s cache.<\/p>\n \nToday, I knew a web page had changed, but wasn’t yet seeing the change. I decided to go for the hard refresh, but how? Ctrl+F5 didn’t seem to work.<\/p>\n \nI went to the three dots in the upper right corner, then from More tools selected Developer tools. Next, I clicked the three dots at top right of the Developer tools pane, then Settings. Therein, I scrolled down to Network, wherein I saw the option “Disable cache while DevTools is open.” I checked that box.<\/p>\n \nAfter that, I refreshed the page, and saw the changes.
