\nThe following is according to my understanding.<\/p>\n
\nOccasionally, when I am in an online meeting, a panel opens out from the left side of the screen, covering maybe a third to half of the active display area. It has news and weather, and a nice welcome message. However, at an inopportune time, it can be a little obstructive. Sometimes it seems to go away on its own, but other times it seems to linger. What is it, and how can one close it?<\/p>\n
\nIt turns out said panel is called the Widgets Board. My understanding is that, to open it or close it, one can click bottom left of the screen, where a weather forecast appears on the ribbon. Perhaps it’s located differently on other people’s screens, but that where it is on the PCs I use.<\/p>\n
\nSince I learned about how to use the Widgets Board, I’ve started to look at it once and awhile: it’s nice. Most things in Windows are, when one comes to understand how to use them:)<\/p>\n
