\nLately I’ve been working around the property: as I mention in my post from July 10,<\/a> it can be a summer thing. One thing that’s come up is window cleaning.<\/p>\n \nI recall a window washer used to come here perhaps decades ago. Things were busy then, so I didn’t pay much attention to how he did it. I would have done well to be more observant.<\/p>\n \nA couple of days ago, up on the ladder, I came to a window that was too wide for me to reach from a central location, and too high on the house to station the ladder above: I would have had to place the ladder against the eavestrough, which would have put me too far away to reach the window. “How did the window washer reach said window?” I wondered.<\/p>\n \nI realize he likely used ladder arms, which apparently can span six feet.
