The tutor mentions the concept of &#8220;less than.&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>\nThe less than sign, &lt;, is not always well understood in math, nor the concept behind it.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe way I would explain less than is that it means &#8220;left of&#8221; on a number line.
