Yet, outside of blooming times, they can be inconspicuous.<\/p>\n<p>\nDogwood leaves are elliptical; they don&#8217;t have a distinct shape the way an oak or maple tree might.<\/p>\n<p>\nYet, a noticeable feature of dogwoods in the fall, in my opinion, is that one or two leaves can turn red while the others remain green.<\/p>\n<p>\nSource:<\/p>\n<p>\nBrockman,F.C., Merrilees,R., Zim,H.S.
