The French verb to be<\/em> is\u00a0\u00a0\u00eatre<\/strong>.\u00a0 Its present tense conjugation is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
je suis (I am)<\/td>\nnous sommes (we are)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
tu es (you [singular] are)<\/td>\nvous \u00eates (you [plural] are)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
il est (he is)<\/td>\nils sont (they [masculine or mixed] are)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
elle est (she is)<\/td>\nelles sont (they [females only] are)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
