Color: tint

Self-tutoring about art: the tutor mentions the meaning of “tint”.

“Tint” means change a color by adding white. How might a person imagine tint from the rgb point of view?

Let’s imagine a color like rgb(150,175,0):

White is rgb(255,255,255). From the rgb point of view, the most we can tint color A is by rgb(80,80,80), to yield rgb(230,255,80):
