Lifestyle: how to eat a mango
Self-tutoring about produce: the tutor mentions something he learned.
I’ve never bought mango, but tonight they were on “3 for 5”, so I thought I’d try them.
I wasn’t sure how to eat one, so I watched the helpful video here.
A flat seed resides in the middle of the mango, running parallel to its length. One way to obtain the fruit is to cut the mango lengthwise near the center, score the meat in the peel you’ve removed, and finally invert the peel so what you’ve scored is exposed.
The mangos I bought were about four inches long and three wide. Given mangos’ distinct flavour, I’d say there’s a substantial amount of fruit on each of them.
