Electronic lifestyle: backup of web form entries
Self-tutoring about online form situations: the tutor mentions an observation about backing up entries.
I was filling out a form online. It wasn’t commercial, but it was an assembly of detailed information I didn’t want to have to redo.
I decided that, in case somehow the information didn’t save properly, I’d save it myself. Yet, I didn’t want to save it as a web page. Rather, I just wanted to save my inputs into the fields.
I tried selecting all, copying, then pasting to Word. However, Word only seemed to save the tables, not their entries.
I did the same with Notepad, and the opposite happened: only my field entries were saved, in plain text. They were saved one per line, rather than in table form. It was good enough.
Once again — Notepad to the rescue!
