Curiosities: the mysterious hallway
Self-tutoring about things you wonder about: the tutor mentions one.
Where I presently work, there is a hallway I take to a lounge. The hallway continues past it, but not far. If you do follow that hallway past the lounge (few do), it ends at a T-junction.
The left and right passages off the T are both short. The right one leads to an exit door that is labeled “emergency only.” The left one leads to a push-door that I’ve never seen open. Neither the push-door nor the “emergency-only” door has any windows: there are no windows at all on either side of the T, or even past the lounge in the hallway leading to it.
I’ve seen a few people go down that hallway, towards the T, not to return. I don’t know where they go. It would be helpful to know where the push-door at the end of the left side of the T junction leads.
I’ve never heard anyone mention that push-door, the “emergency only” exit door at the right side of the T, or even the T junction itself. To hear people talk, the hallway ends at the lounge.
