Jacking up a vehicle might be needed for numerous repair jobs. Yet, where does one place a floor jack? Jack stands? To someone maintaining their own car in the garage, any of these questions might add a new dimension to a repair job.

I was surprised how long I had to search for a compelling source of information about jacking points, but I did find one, by EricTheCarGuy on YouTube. I’ve found numerous other of his videos helpful, so was glad to find this one from him.

Eric talks about, and shows, some theory and practice about finding good jacking points, as well as where to put the jack stands. I find the general ideas revealed in the video are what make it so helpful.
