Shopping: Y% incorporated
Self-tutoring about consumer issues: the tutor mentions a recent “upgrade”.
Locally, a store has been acquired by a larger chain. At first, I didn’t perceive much difference. A few weeks on, however, there is perhaps a rather significant one: among the goods I noticed, a jump of prices by, it seems, an average of around Y%. Such is my impression, anyway.
I recall, years ago, reading about an official called “Mr X%” because of a certain surcharge required to get contracts from the department he headed. It seemed a big deal at the time, but I believe Y>X.
Interesting, eh?
