Math: divisibility by 6

Tutoring math, divisibility rules are useful. The tutor mentions how to determine divisibility by 6.

In my post about divisibility by 3 and 9, I mention that if a number is divisible by 3, the sum of its digits is. Therefore, 714 is divisible by 3 because 7+1+4=12. It’s true: 714=3×238.

A number is divisible by 6 if it’s divisible by 2 and 3 (see my post here for insight about this). Therefore, 222 must be divisible by 6 because it’s even (divisible by 2) and 2+2+2=6 is divisible by 3.
