Autos, lifestyle: how long parked, but still driveable?
Self-tutoring about autos: the tutor researches how long a car might go undriven yet still be able to start.
It’s a thing many of us have heard: someone takes a vehicle for a drive, weekly or so, just to replenish the battery’s charge. Otherwise, the battery may be unable to start the car when it’s finally needed.
It turns out that, indeed, at least a weekly drive for around fifteen minutes is recommended for keeping a battery strong.
If both car and battery are in good shape, it seems the car might still start as long as two weeks after last being driven.
