Appliances: dishwasher maintenance
Self-tutoring about dishwasher use: the tutor mentions some hints.
I do a lot of dishes. Moreover, when the dishwasher isn’t working, I’m the first line of defense. Therefore, just how well it’s working is of special interest to me.
Back in my post from January 18, 2026, I mention the dishwasher wasn’t draining, and what I did about it. Earlier, in my post from July 14, 2025, I mention the advantage of using enough dishwasher detergent.
It used to be that, when I would run the dishwasher, there were debris left behind afterwards; although the dishes were clean, the bottom of the dishwasher wasn’t. However, especially since the declogging of the sink drain mentioned in my Jan 18 post, the dishwasher is always clean at the bottom after it’s been run. Not only are the dishes clean, but the bottom and sides of the dishwasher itself are, also.
It seems that the combination of the drain being clear, along with using enough dishwasher detergent, facilitates the dishwasher to work properly. This may seem like common sense, but it’s taken awhile to get this set up.
Interesting, eh?
