Energy: leading oil producers

Self-tutoring about world oil production: the tutor mentions five top producers.

The following is according to my understanding.

For the year 2023, the top five producers of oil, globally, were the US (22% of world total), Saudi Arabia (11%), Russia (11%), Canada (6%), and China (5%). Total global production was about one hundred million barrels per day (believe it or not).

With consumption of 20% of world output, the US ended up a net exporter.
