Chemistry: thixotropic
Self-tutoring about terms in chemistry: the tutor mentions the term thixotropic.
When a fluid is thixotropic, it gets thinner when agitated, but more settled when left alone. I wasn’t aware of this property until I experienced it with fluid film, which I’ve been applying to the undercarriage of a vehicle to protect it from rust.
As I understand, Fluid Film is lanolin (wool-wax)-based.
