Linux: Ubuntu: how to get a screenshot

Self-tutoring about Linux: the tutor mentions a neat trick.

When you’re from the 70s (as I am), you might carry mental baggage.

I recall the PrtScr button back from my first days with DOS. I might have used it then. However, I seem to recall sometime in the 2000s, it didn’t work when I expected it to. From then on the key has been dead to me.

Yet, yesterday, I needed a screenshot from this Linux computer, so wondered how to get one. I read that if you press PrtScr, a screenshot will be produced. I did so: believe it or not, I found it there, in my home directory (in my case, not in the Pictures directory; rather, just loose in my home directory).

Whatdayaknow? Sometimes old tricks work…again:)
