Business, economics: Italy: net exporter
Self-tutoring about business and economics: the tutor mentions Italy.
Italy seems to have run a trade deficit in 2022, but a surplus from 2012 until then. In 2020, Italy’s biggest export was packaged medicaments. To my understanding, that means medicines or medicinal products ready for final use.
Italy happened, in 2020, to be the world’s largest exporter of processed tobacco, yet its largest importer of rolled tobacco. It also led the world in export of pasta, processed tomatoes, and tanned cow and horse hides.
