Philosophy: are you a role model?
Self-tutoring about perspectives: the tutor looks at a new one he overheard.
It’s never occurred to me, to think of myself as a role model. Yet, apparently it’s a thing: some people do, indeed, see themselves that way. Moreover, some of them behave specifically to make themselves more credible role models.
When I asked someone about this the other day, they commented that the people they think are good role models don’t see themselves that way, while those do, aren’t necessarily, from his point of view.
Perhaps one has two questions to ponder: 1) Am I a (good) role model? 2) Do other people see me as a (good) role model?
Of course, a possible perspective is that everyone is a role model, worse or better.
