Astronomy: the morning sky, Oct 6, 2025

Self-tutoring about sky observation: the tutor mentions some sights from this morning.

Looking outside from the dark house, around 6:20am, I could see amazingly clear the stars and moon appeared: I had to go outside.

Pretty much due East, low over the horizon, was a bright object that I suspect must have been Venus. High in the sky, pretty much due South, was another one that I think was Jupiter. The moon, looking full, was in the western sky, low on the horizon.

The clarity of the sky was arresting. Why it might be so much clearer just before sunrise than a few hours after sunset might be an idea for another post:)
