Weather: 100 percent humidity
Self-tutoring about the weather: the tutor mentions some ideas about 100 percent humidity.
The following is by my understanding.
I checked the weather today: At one point it said the humidity was 100 percent. The sun was shining brilliantly. I wondered what exactly 100 percent humidity means from a practical perspective.
For instance, does 100 percent humidity mean rain? I would have thought so, but apparently not. Does it mean fog, then? Once again, not necessarily. Does it mean the dew point matches the air temperature? Apparently, it does mean that.
Yet, it seems that even at 100 percent humidity, dew will not necessarily occur. It’s possible to sit at that exact point where the air might be exactly full of water, but can yet contain it.
Interesting, eh?
